Trade School South London is a volunteer run non-traditional learning community that runs on barter. We are replacing money with barter and celebrating the social nature of exchange.

It works like this...

1) People offer to teach a class about something they know. For example, how to create a website, an introduction to knitting, how to wire a plug, basics in french etc.

2) The "teacher" decides on a list of barter items they're interested in receiving. Barter items can be in the form of goods or services, both tangible and intangible. For example: jars, music tips, clothes, vegetables, or help with something like finding an apartment, or a follow on a blog

3) Students sign up for their class on our website by agreeing to bring something from their list.

4) On the day of class, the teachers & students meet in a space that is made available by us. Students give their barter item to the teacher, and the class begins!
