Come and learn to play what is perhaps the finest two player card game in the world (4 player game also covered). This is the game that coined the phrases "level pegging", "streets ahead", "left in the lurch" and "one for his nob"! Cribbage, or "Crib", is around 400 years old and can trace part its roots to our fine city as the grandfather of the supposed inventor of the game was Mayor here in the 1500s. Indeed, Suckling House (which now houses Cinema City) was inhabited by, and named after, Sir John Suckling's grandfather. This session should appeal more to those who enjoy games in general and card games specifically. Maths skills help, but as long as you can add up to 31 you'll be fine :) Come and learn a skill for life, in an hour!

Bring one of the following:

About the teacher, Siv Sears

I'm a teacher who recently returned to the UK after many years abroad. I have a passion for cribbage and received a gold medal in the cribbage pairs event at the 2016 Mind Sports Olympiad in London. I've taught many people to play, including most recently a cohort of 11 and 12 year-olds at the school I currently work at.
