For the past year, Trade School has transitioned to a cooperative model to allow us to create an infrastructure for shared power and open a self-organized learning space. This infrastructure supports our vision of working together to build alternative spaces and economies where all people are valuable and capable. Trade School is a small part of the solidarity economy - economic practices that reinforce values of mutualism, cooperation, social justice, democracy, and ecological sustainability. As we move into our 4th year, we want to make sure that our work in alternative economies is reflective of our belief in education as a radical tool for transformation; our belief that education is a human right and should be accessible to everyone; and the idea that our privilege should not dictate who gets to have access and opportunities to experience these alternatives. Please join us for our final gathering for information on Winter Workgroups, teaching, changes with bartering, volunteering, etc. Tea and snacks will be provided, and we always encourage you to bring a snack to share if you're able.
