Sew Your Own Indiana Pillow

Make your very own Indiana pillow like one of the ones in the picture here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/259120429/easy-indiana-pillow-printable-pdf-sewing?ref=shop_home_active_17 You will learn to put together and use the printed sewing pattern, how to cut out your pieces, and how to sew them together! You get to keep the pattern in case you want to make more at home. The pattern will be provided, but you will need to bring supplies. Supplies include your sewing machine, fabric scissors, pins, fabric marker or chalk, 1/2 yd of fabric for the main pillow with a 3" square for the heart, optional extra 1/2 yd of fabric for the Indy skyline out of a fabric that won't fray (like vinyl or felt), thread, and about 10 oz of polyfill.

Bring one of the following:
*I have attended a training and arranged with Trade School to be the class volunteer
*REQUIRED: supplies in the class description
extra fabric to share
extra polyfill or another kind of pillow stuffing to share
extra tape or scissors to share
local or handmade surprise
potted plant
product photography
something else you'd like to offer (my contact info is in the registration email)

About the teacher, Madeline Stage

Madeline Stage is an Indie Pattern Designer with a special love for using up unwanted craft materials. She has been making up her own sewing patterns since she was 7, studied pattern design in college, and is now making a living out of it. In her spare time she likes to run, swing dance, try new things, do anything outdoors, make funny faces at her husband, and share her love of creating!
