Self-Defense 101

Self Defense 101 will provide students with an introduction to the techniques and thinking strategies needed to survive a unfriendly encounter. The course will introduce students to ways of responding to being choked, grabbed, or otherwise threatened. Students will have an opportunity to apply the skills that they learn in role-play scenarios. Wear comfortable clothes suitable for a fitness class.

Bring one of the following:
* a pledge to volunteer by facilitating a class (we'll send you info!)

A lesson in accounting techniques for small businesses
A lesson in marketing techniques
A surprise
Homemade cookies or biscotti
Some of your favorite kind of pre-ground coffee

About the teacher, Richard Todd

Richard Todd is a fourth-degree black belt in karate. He has been a student of martial arts for fifteen years, and has been teaching his own blend of traditional karate and other tactical applications to adults and children in and around the Indianapolis area for six years. He is passionate about making sure people have the means to keep themselves and their families safe.
