Living With Less Life-Hacks

6:00p.m. to 7:30p.m.
Trade School Indy
1125 Brookside Ave
Indianapolis US

One of the most popular new trends now is the Minimalist Movement. Everywhere you look, you see people in tiny houses and trying to simplify their lives. This isn't a new idea. Teresa's parents were married during the Depression, and minimalism was the general lifestyle, not a trend. As a result of that, Teresa learned a lot of old fashioned tips and tricks. In this class, you will learn simple tips so that you can truly live with less. You'll learn new uses for dental floss, Ball canning jars, and that bag inside your cereal box. You will learn how to mail a photograph or certificate without it getting bent. Get the most out of the dried herbs you cook with and other cooking tips. You will leave knowing at least one thing you didn't know before that you will demonstrate to amaze your friends. Come prepared to share a great tip that you learned from your mother or someone else.

Bring one of the following:
(not too old) magazines for hospital patients
a coffee mug
a fun board or card game (new or used)
an empty Parmesan cheese container with the green lid
canning jars, new or used
old maps
something else you’d like to offer (email your teacher before class)
teach a class (email Trade School before class)
volunteer for this class as a facilitator (email Trade School before class)

About the teacher, Teresa Gregory

Teresa is a life-long learner. She thinks she inherited this from her father. Curiosity has driven her to read “how-to” books; attend classes through IUPUI, the library, and other venues; study YouTube videos; and try new things without fear. Patience has helped her accomplish things that she didn't think she could do. Dyslexia gives her a different view of life. Her taste is eclectic. She found Trade School through a friend and since then has attended numerous classes. She is very impressed with the concept of Trade School, describing it as kind of a modern day take on a third world concept that has been successful for decades. She is thrilled to be a part of this.
