Letter Writing Social & Mail Art

6:00p.m. to 7:30p.m.
Trade School Indy
1125 Brookside Ave
Indianapolis US

Even with the ever-increasing postal rates, there are still a small group of us who believe in sending handwritten letters and postcards. In this Valentine's Day-themed class, you will be introduced to the world of mail art and mail swapping. We will discuss where to find pen pals and how you can use your artistic talents when sending mail. We'll also talk about postal rules, the best mail swapping sites, and all of the interesting items you can send or potentially receive! Each student will create a Valentine (we'll mail it for you!), leave with fun mail goodies, and get to play with our awesome typewriter.

Bring one of the following:
*I have arranged with Trade School to be the class volunteer
attend a 45 minute Trade School volunteer training before class
funky pens or pencils
give back to Trade School with a PWYC membership
mail supplies (stamps, zany & sassy stationery or cards)
picture books or chapter books
something else you'd like to offer (my contact info is in the registration email)
something handmade (soap, candles, art, etc.)
