Knitting 101 (VERY Basic)

6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Trade School Indy
1125 Brookside Ave
Indianapolis US

Do you know the difference between knitting needles and chopsticks? Do you think a ball of yarn is just a cat toy? Then this beginner’s class is the class for you! There will be three classes so you can learn the basics, plus be able to come back the next time and brag or ask for help. In the first class, you will learn the very basics of knitting: casting on (getting the yarn onto the needle), and the basic knit stitch. Knitting can be a very relaxing and useful activity. Let's have some fun! All supplies will be provided. Bring a sense of humor and a willingness to learn.

Bring one of the following:
*I have attended a training and arranged with Trade School to be the class volunteer
A favorite simple recipe
a local or handmade surprise
Cookies or snacks to share with the class
New or used games
Something else you'd like to offer (my contact info is in the registration email)

About the teacher, Teresa Gregory

Teresa is a life-long learner. She thinks she inherited this from her father. Curiosity has driven her to read “how-to” books; attend classes through IUPUI, the library, and other venues; study YouTube videos; and try new things without fear. Patience has helped her accomplish things that she didn't think she could do. Dyslexia gives her a different view of life. Her taste is eclectic. She found Trade School through a friend and since then has attended numerous classes. She is very impressed with the concept of Trade School, describing it as kind of a modern day take on a third world concept that has been successful for decades. She is thrilled to be a part of this.
