How to Write Right

You will become aware of the many mistakes writers make when using ambiguous terms and phrases such as led/lead and cut up food/cut food up. You will also become aware of words that are mispronounced and will probably be misspelled. This will be primarily discussion rather than creative writing as this is designed to bring awareness of mistakes to avoid!

Bring one of the following:
*I have attended a training and arranged with Trade School to be the class volunteer
a local or handmade surprise
animal shelter cleaning supplies: paper towels, bleach, detergent, etc.
cat litter
dog/cat food
old towels
something else you'd like to offer (my contact info is in the registration email)

About the teacher, Petra Ritchie

Petra Ritchie was a proofreader/editor at the Indianapolis Business Journal in its Contract Publishing Division. Before that, she was a researcher in the Editorial Department. After 17 years with the IBJ, she retired and is pursuing long-delayed other interests.
