Hemming & Hand Sewing

6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Chase Near Eastside Legacy Center
Chase Near Eastside Legacy Center at 727 N. Oriental St
Indianapolis US

Learn the basics of sewing by hand stitching a hem! Have a pair of pants or a skirt that are either too long or too short? Bring it in and learn how to take out the existing hem, how to lengthen or shorten, and then get to practice hemming. You will benefit the most if you bring an item of clothing from your personal closet to hem, matching thread (always go with a color darker than your garment), a size 10 needle and small sharp scissors. If you don't have an item but would like to practice, we will have example projects you can work on.

Bring one of the following:
a cupcake!
a fat quarter
metallic thread
various buttons
volunteer hours for this class as a facilitator (must be an approved TS facilitator)
