Basic Hand Lettering

6:00p.m. to 7:30p.m.
Trade School Indy
1125 Brookside Ave
Indianapolis US

Hand lettering is the art of writing beautifully. Rather than using a pre-established “font,” letters are hand-crafted for the specific application... thus these creations are truly one-of-a-kind! You can use hand lettering for stationary, scrapbooking, t-shirt and fabric design, and so much more. In this class, we'll introduce you to the world of hand lettering, and then we'll practice our new-found skills by making a piece of stationery for a special someone! This class is co-taught with Victoria Hayley-Brown. Victoria has been doodling since she could pick up a pencil and started lettering because she wanted to write very sappy love notes, but has since upgraded to handmade cards and painting on canvas. *Please bring a pencil and eraser!

Bring one of the following:
a handmade surprise (no food please)
fresh local produce
help restore a S. Indiana farmhouse for a day! (to be arranged after class—come visit the farmhouse Sophie & her husband are working on and help them do it. About 1.5 hr from Indy)
organic dark chocolate
organic tea (loose leaf or bagged)
potted succulents
something else you’d like to offer (email your teacher before class)
to volunteer for this class as a facilitator (email Trade School before class)
