Getting Started with Woodworking

This class is for people who don't feel like Woodworkers! Getting into woodworking can be intimidating - if you have questions, don't know where to start, or don't see yourself as a typical "woodworker", this is for you. During this class we'll discuss ways to get started at home or on a small budget, basic tools, materials, and processes, opportunities to learn in the Indy area, and resources for further well as anything else you may have questions about. Although tools will be provided for demonstration proposes, this will mainly be a hands-off learning session.

Bring one of the following:
*email to volunteer at this class (this is your barter!)
*have your own goods or services to offer? arrange your own barter by emailing your teacher
drawings of what you'd like to build
old book
pictures of furniture you love
white rags or old white tshirts

About the teacher, Neil Ahrendt

Neil is a professional software developer and amateur woodworker. He is primarily interested in traditional hand-tool woodworking. He also likes coffee and angry music.
