Email Newsletters 101

6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Trade School Indy
1125 Brookside Ave
Indianapolis US

Having an email newsletter is the easiest (and cheapest) way to reach a lot of people at once to spread the good word! Whether you own a business, organize a non-profit, or send out general announcements on behalf of a neighborhood or group - having a newsletter set up will make your life a whole lot easier. Using Mailchimp (it's FREE!), we will work together to create, design, and manage a database for your newsletter. This class is for people who have never sent a newsletter or used Mailchimp, and it's recommended you understand how to use a computer and send email to benefit. This is a 2-part class. In this first introduction course we will get your account set up, design a basic template, import any email addresses, and come up with a plan for your future newsletters. *This is a BYOD (bring your own device) class in which students will be expected and encouraged to work through exercises and learn by using their own computer.

Bring one of the following:
a local or handmade surprise
a must-read book for my upcoming road trip
anything lavender that's natural
blank portable sketchbooks
local/seasonal food
natural soaps/toiletries for my upcoming road trip
something else you'd like to offer (my contact info is in the registration email)
something with the Trade School logo on it
your computer and enthusiam
