Developing Your Written Voice

11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.
Trade School Indy
1125 Brookside Ave
Indianapolis US

This creative writing workshop is a laboratory for exploring the written voice. You will imitate the masters and try several different techniques, polishing your sense of what characteristics distinguish one writer from the next. This is both a writing and discussion class, where we will look at examples and identify techniques, imitate the technique ourselves, then read and discuss the results. Almost certainly with this method, you will begin to see signs of your own voice peeking through the exercises. Bring pen and paper, an open mind, and a sense of adventure!

Bring one of the following:
dark chocolate
salt or pepper
something else you’d like to offer (you will coordinate a 1-1 exchange with the teacher)
to volunteer for this class as a facilitator (we’ll send you info!)
unsalted shelled or unshelled sunflower seeds (to feed to chickens!)
