Ready to take your clothing refashioning skills to the next level? Clothing refashion can be as simple as adding or subtracting elements from existing garments to make them better fit your personal style. In this class, we’ll explore many refashioning possibilities for sleeves and then practice using our new skills to refashion a garment of your choice. These skills can then be applied to any part of a garment! Trade School will supply everything except the garment you use for your sleeve refashion. Basic knowledge of how to operate a sewing machine (threading, forward & backward stitching, sewing straight seams & sewing curved seams) is highly recommended since we will be using sewing machines in class.

Bring one of the following:
a spiral bound graph paper notebook
any kind of heirloom flower, fruit, or veggie seeds
fresh local produce
homemade/paper crafted/collaged bookmarks or stationary (the zanier, the better!)
organic dark chocolate or whole bean coffee
raw local honey
various canning jars with unused lids
volunteer hours for this class as a facilitator (must be an approved TS facilitator)
