France is one of the most visited tourist destinations in the world, but it often gets a bad reputation, especially when it comes to Paris. However, having a good experience is often just a matter of a little savoir-faire. This workshop is aimed at participants who want to travel to France, although much of the information might be useful for European travel in general. Traveling for a variety of budgets will be addressed and students will walk away with knowledge about how to get around, places to visit, cultural issues, and more.

Bring one of the following:
a book you love
an explanation of your favorite place to travel (Indiana, domestic, international, anywhere!)
something else you’d like to offer (email your teacher before class)
to volunteer for this class as a facilitator (email Trade School before class)
your bucket list

About the teacher, Amy Conrad

Amy Conrad has traveled, studied, and worked in France. She often spends her summer in France working for the IU Honors Program in Foreign Languages. Amy speaks French, loves to help people feel at home in a new culture, and has made plenty of faux pas in France so you won't have to!
